Bezel facet is the name for the facet shaped like a kite on the crown of the diamond. The bezel of the ring is a wider, flatter and thicker part of the ring usually depicting an engraved design, like on a signet ring, or a gem. A bezel can also refer to a bezel setting which holds the stone in place using a raised surrounding for the stone with a lip encircling and overlapping the edges of the stone. The bezel setting protects the diamond from friction and makes sure the diamond itself cannot damage any other materials it may collide with.
