A culet in diamonds means an extra facet, the 58th, on the underside of a brilliant cut diamond, intended to protect the fragile point at the bottom. The size of the culet will make a difference to the price of the diamond ring. If this is too large, the diamond’s brilliance will decrease and the diamond will become less valuable.
