When can, or ought I, wear my watch?

It is up to you when you wear your watch, if at all. Yet it can be useful to know the etiquette. For instance, for a long time it wasn't the norm to wear a watch at formal occasions, like a wedding. Keeping an eye on the time was deemed insulting to the host or hostess.  However, nowadays people often wear a formal watch design with a simple strap at formal occasions. If casual is the order of the day then the world is your oyster, with a choice ranging from rugged and functional to lavish and striking. For that matter, combining a bracelet with a watch works equally well.
