What is an oval cut diamond?

The oval cut is a type of fancy shape diamond which is essentially an elongated version of a round cut. It’s an elliptical shaped brilliant cut which, like other fancy brilliant cuts, is best to see in person. That way, you can take a closer look and notice the nice symmetry of the oval shaped cut. Also, when you wear an oval shaped diamond ring, it can elongate the finger (like with a pear shaped diamond ring). On the other hand, ovals may show colours and inclusions more than other shapes.
