Princess Cut

The princess cut is a type of brilliant cut fancy shape that can be either square or rectangular. It is the second most popular cut, next to the round brilliant, and is both elegant and dramatic. If a princess cut has the same width as the diameter of a round cut, it will still weigh more as it has four corners. These would otherwise have been cut off and rounded to form a round brilliant. That’s why the princess cut is sometimes referred to as a square modified brilliant. But still the faceting style of a princess cut is unique and completely different than a round brilliant.
